Cuenca and National Criminal Activity (Cuenca) Miguel Alfredo SJ, former chief of the Tungurahua Small Business Savings and Credit Cooperative, a fugitive for three years, was captured last Wednesday night in Cuenca. The Azuay Prosecutor’s Office said that there was a conviction of 10 years in prison, issued in 2016, for the crime of corruption. The criminal act harmed approximately 600 savers and, according to the balance issued on June 15, 2016 by the liquidator Celso Villegas, the damage was over $15 million.
