Vice President Verónica Abad Ordered to Clarify Complaint Against President Noboa—Jácome Files Counter-Complaint Against Abad

Vice President Verónica Abad’s allegations against President Daniel Noboa and several of his top officials—and advisor Diana Jácome—have taken a new turn as an Electoral Contentious Tribunal (TCE) judge has demanded that she clarify the legal grounds of her complaint. In a surprising retort, Jácome has filed a similar complaint of gender-based political violence against Abad.
